Pre-CanSkate Program

CanSkate is Skate Canada's flagship learn-to-skate program, recognized for developing fundamental skating skills across all ice sports.

Centennial Park Skating Club delivers a premium CanSkate Program that has been awarded the Skate Ontario CanSkate Excellence Exceeded status, which recognizes the delivery of CanSkate programs above the national delivery standard set by Skate Canada.

This Pre-CanSkate program is a fully supervised 30-minute learn-to-skate session for children aged 3 to 5 years old who have been on the ice once or twice or who have never been on the ice.

Teaching aids, toys, games and upbeat music are all used to make learning fun and create an encouraging and positive environment.

C.S.A.-approved helmets with a helmet cage and mittens are mandatory. Skaters should wear warm clothes that do not restrict movement as the skater learns to fall and get up safely on ice.

This program is offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Please check the exclusion dates. There will be no skating on exclusion days. Fees have been adjusted to account for exclusion dates.
