Volunteer Information
Centennial Park Skating Club is a non-profit organization that is operated by a group of parent volunteers under the sanction of Skate Canada. We are always looking for more volunteers to assist with the day to day operations of the Club.
We just don't have enough volunteers to get everything done and have depended on a small group of volunteers to do an enormous amount of work. We would like to increase our volunteer base, to give all our members a better understanding of club operations and attract newer members to join our Board.
Below is a list of some of the volunteer opportunities available for the 2019 – 2020 skating season. Additional volunteer opportunities may become available throughout the season.
Office Hours
Volunteers are required to staff the Club Office to answer questions, take in person registrations and answer telephone calls every Saturday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
Test Days
Volunteers are required to assist as Results Runners and Ice Captains for the following test days:
Test Day #1 - To be announced
Test Day #2 - To be announced
Test Day #3 - To be announced
Donations
In lieu of volunteer hours, we would greatly accept donations for our events such as:
- Prizes for draws and raffles
- Hot chocolate, coffe, cookies for skating events
- Candy for our Halloween skaters
- Candy canes and goodies for Christmas time
Please email centennialparkskatingclub@hotmail.com or approach any of the board members if you are able to assit with any of these volunteer oppotunities or would like to inquire about becoming a member of our board.
