The CPSC CanSkate program is designed for children age 5 and up, CanSkate is a dynamic program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. This program is for beginners that have been on the ice before, aged 5 and up. This program is designed with a complete series of balance, control and agility skills taught in six stages of learning that helps those skaters who have an interest in participating in hockey, ringette, speed skating and figure skating along with those who enjoy general recreational skating.
CanSkate uses nationally-tested and a proven curriculum, with delivery methods that guarantee skater success in developing stronger basic skills and developing those skills faster. All CPSC CanSkate Coaches are certified each year with Skate Canada.
C.S.A approved helmets (adding helmet cages is recommended for additional safety) and mittens are mandatory.5:1 Ratio of skaters to certified coach.Program duration is 50 minutes with continuous Certified Coach group lesson time.
